Washington, NC: The Beaufort County Traditional Music Association is pleased to present the popular BCTMA Variety Show on July 16 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Historic Turnage Theatre. Admission is free, and donations are appreciated for this family friendly event.
BCTMA members being featured on July 16 include Lyle Carlson & Reggie Workman, Rusty Lewis & Barbara Rupolo, Bobby Moore, Tyler Moore, and Melvin Stalls & Bettie Overton. The show runs 7:00-9:00 PM. These talented local musicians will be playing a selection of classic country, rock, blues, and bluegrass tunes. These musicians often participate in BCTMA’s Saturday morning and Thursday evening acoustic jams held at the Turnage Theatre. These jams are also free and traditional music fans and musicians are welcome.
An exciting addition to the show is a quilt raffle of a beautiful quilt called "Good and Plenty". The quilt is 60x62 inches and was made and donated by BCTMA member Pat Carlson. Raffle tickets are one for $5.00 and three for $10.00. Drawing will be held at the close of the July 16 BCTMA Variety Show. You do not have to be present to win the quilt. Tickets are available at BCTMA jams and at the night of the Variety Show.
This informal family-oriented concert is sponsored by the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association, founded in 2008 to promote traditional music in Eastern North Carolina.
